It makes sense that losing an arm wont affect his battle ability much in the world of bleach, since it is not really about real fighting anymore, but rather reiatsu levels. But losing that arm dropped him from espada, which is a reason enough to assume that he has weakened that much. That fat guy who is espada number 10 as I remember was pretty weak, and grimmjaw rank wise is supposed to be even weaker. If they present grimmjaw as still stronger than the fat guy, they better give at least an explantation of why he was really dropped from espada.
If I remember correctly, hitsugaya mentioned that had the previous invaders not been surprised by the sudden rise in their reiatsu (which created an opening for a powerful attack while they tried to retreat), the battle wouldnt have ended as easily as it did, even without the limiter from the start.Originally Posted by Chaoskiddo
