To clarify, I don't care about DB's antics as I never visit their site or dl their stuff from their tracker. I actually find it humorous how they have so many people wrapped around their every word. I've met a DB-Narutard in real life and when I tried to explain to him that DB was just a tiny part of the anime iceberg and there were tons of other groups that released anime he actually tried to debate me and tell me I was wrong and they were the only ones.
Anyway, I have been trying to assert that abusing the trust of people who blindly place it in you (in this case Naruto fanboys placing trust in DB) is a douchebaggy thing to do. I have been met repeatedly with the retort that it is DB's right to behave that way because they don't owe anyone anything and the people are just stupid for believing in them. I can fully agree with that sentiment and I blame any fool dumb enough to believe their crap for not being able to think for themself. However, just because they (DB) have the right to act like douchebags doesn't make it not douchebaggish when they choose to exercise that right and do dochebaggish things.
Example:
Let's assume I brought a keg of beer to a party and I'm the first one there with any beer (and we'll assume no one can steal it from me for whatever reason) I could offer everyone beer for a while, but then change my mind and not give any more to anyone because I didn't feel like it, or I could tell people I wouldn't give out any more beer to them unless some random conditions were met, or I could tell them I was going to take my keg and go home because they were putting it in cups I hadn't provided. No one could tell me that it isn't my right to do what I want with my beer, but if you people were at that party and I saw me acting like this would you really not think me a douchebag for doing it?
