Roaches are so common here that I don't particularly mind them anymore. I used to kill them using a slipper (then wipe away their nasty remains with a tissue), but now even that is getting troublesome. There are thousands of them, so squishing a few won't make a difference anyway.
I hate it when they fly though. I remember a roach landing on my friends nape before. It was hilarious.

Oh yeah, flying roaches...When I was about 5 or 6, I had seen my first flying roach. I saw the hugest roach I'd see up to that point in my life crawling on a wall. Soon as I saw it, it stopped crawling and I froze in terror for about 10s. I turned around and was about to run in panic when I just a sharp pain on my earlobe as if someone flicked me with their fingers. Then I noticed the roach had zipped by me and landed on the opposite wall, towards the direction I wanted to run.
