"IF" that was really THE Masako on the phone, my impression would be a rather negative one. She sounded really carefree in her short reply. Of course, my guess is that it isn´t her, but a relative, maybe another, older daughter or such.

Also, the Masako in the flashback had black hair. I guess Daikichi´s grandpa isn´t the real dad.
