I believe all of the dialogue is still there, its just the action choreography that was removed, and this animation wouldn't do it any favors, anyway.
Good news is that they are on track to basically catch up to the manga at this point by the end of the season, and if so, they may have no choice but to re-do this season's contents in a higher-quality-but-slower-paced follow up in a few years time? Wishful thinking, I know...
Not gonna happen. I believe they're only doing 12 episodes this season, so they're already more than halfway done for the year. I didn't think the monster fights were boring. They showcase a lot of S-class heroes that up until now haven't actually done anything in the show. Plus, they completely cut my boy Bone from his high bone density moment vs the octopus.![]()

Let's be honest, the tournament isn't even as exciting as it seemed like it would be. It's basically just saitama in the restroom or yawning and slapping someone. Saitama vs Suiryu is the only good one, though unfortunately there are fan versions higher quality than what we get. This arc is really supposed to be about the supporting cast, otherwise it wouldn't even be a story as Saitama would just go down to the monster lair and one-shot everything.

This show is really not the same without the good animation, I'm telling ya
It's the contrast that made it for me, absolutely silly story, silly character design, but then all of a sudden, you get an amazing fight and even the most stupid looking character (Saitama) starts to look amazing and powerful.
Take Genos vs Saitama from Season 1 for example (the mock-battle)
That stuff was refreshing to look at and also extremely "fun" to watch.
I didn't even remotely get the same amount of "fun" out of the final fight of the tournament, even though some of the combos were actually pretty *sick* and awesome... but simply not as well delivered as season 1 by animation.
Sure.. the story is still funny (the story remains the same after all), but I think this season is so much worse overall already due to the rather weak animation value.
Just like I thought...doubts were present ever since we've heard that season 2 is done by a different studio.

I wonder if Suiryu is going to become another Sonic for Saitama. Obsessed with beating him now that he's found someone stronger than him.
I was hoping Suiryu would at least require a Serious punch...
Well, I dunno if it's called a serious punch, but he did get the "DEATH" punch to his face like Genos did in season 1.
Yeah plenty of humans have died. Was watching the paradisers episode recently and Sonic lobs off all their heads in an instant.
You're gonna hate season 3. :^)

That'd be too much. The serious series is reserved for monsters. It'd kill any human being or anything, really, but monsters are okay to kill.
Have there been any human (not transformed to monster) deaths in this show?
Peace.
I keep forgetting that the people shouting and stuff during these incidents are getting killed.
Peace.
Probably because their loss and the destruction the monster cause have close to zero impact on what's going on in that world.
Saitama is a hero for FUN after all, not because he wants to rescue all the peeps.
damn, every scene could have used 20 more second before or after. we're missing so much.
even the definitive panel of the difference between both fighters was dropped. i don't get it.
they just don't get it. i guess.
sig made by Itachi-y2k5, thanks, dude!
Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.
You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.
That was an ugly episode in a various ways. Now to start the one-week-countdown all over again.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Good episode for once. I like that Suiryu guy. Unfortunately, he's trapped in a parody anime
Only thing that bothers me: for as much as these monsters talk about killing ... they never do it. The 2 heroes were 'defeated', but surely they're not dead. Kinda dumb.oh welll
Aside from the animation, a decent episode. Can't get over it. Why didn't Madhouse do this season?
Anyho, I'm rather curious to see how Watchdog Man will fare against Garo. He's an S-Class Rank 12 with Silver Fang being Rank 3. Garo basically being Goku (being able to adapt) has it's limits, like, he won't necessarily grow physically stronger from each fight. I guess next episode will start with Saitama defeating that Dragon Level Bakemono with "One Punch" then focusing the rest of the ep on the fight between Watchdog and Garo.
