Ok you dont need Par or Par2 files. But in some cases you wont get a complete post unless you have them, the recover incomplete or missing rar files from your download so that you may extract the movie or anime you have downloaded from your new provider. B/C sometimes the files upload either get curropt of not all of the files are uploaded Par and Par2 files will either create or repair those missing files. Think of winrar as program that compresses and zips over many diskettes like in the old IBM 486 when you zip doom to 5 diskettes. Hope that help you.
