I"m not American. But everybody is looking at you guys and want to know whats going on. Your the world's superpower, not that we are jealous or anything. But Every little bit that effects your economy effects ours. (Especially mine, we're pegged to the USD ).

Plus, you own more or less the whole media. They even show those 'vote for Bush' or Vote Kerry ad's here. Don't know why. Nothing to do with us

    RE: Iraq War

micheal moore has some funny stuff.......i dont mind watching his shows.....although bowling for columbine doesnt really seem to follow any sort of linear plot and gets kinda boring at times........

i agree that blaming kmart was extremely dumb. I'm not really sure what point he was trying to prove, but kmart knew that mike was gonna be a bitch about it and get all in their face and make them look bad if they didnt break down to his demands. The idea's amusing.....and sometimes the big bad companies get what they deserve from his criticism, but sometimes it just seems like he's trying to find something funny to document.

I don't think he blamed KMart in the same way as those idiots blamed Marilyn Manson etc, he wasn't saying KMart was responsible for the killings, although maybe he was just pointing out how easy it is to get hold on ammunition by getting it from your local store, and two KIDS used the KMart bullets etc etc. I'm anti-gun etc anyway so the way I see it they did a good thing by getting KMart to make that agreement...

One of the coolest things in that film was of that comedian talking about bullet control, that guy was well funny...

Cheers Mut@t@, I tried in the past to do it with normal <> html things but some forums seem to insist on [] for some reason...

*goes to give it a try, while preparing to have to put my avatar up again once I've edited my profile* (dunno why that happens...)

I'm not convinced someone with strong opinions and wants to change things for what he thinks is for the better is a loser...if anything surely he's of more use to society (and much less of a waste of space) than some leech who's happy to do fuck all about fuck all, no? Besides, he makes a shitload of money out of it so it works out pretty cool for him .

yeah i didnt remember anything in Bowling for Columbine that he said 'K-Mart is the cause of the shooting'. that bit is just to show how easy it is to obtain ammunition thats all like what SYS mention.

btw i think what he mention in his books and 'doc' hold more truth than the 7 o clock news.

You sure you want that? I thought you should be happy with the Dole system. And plus, you get lots of health benefits and so what not. I would think the quality of life in Australia would be better than the US for poor people. LIke my cousin, who doesn't do jack shit but surf all day, only once in a while flip burgers.

So you prefer it to be like here (Malaysia ), where if you don't work, you practically starve to death. And if your poor and if you become sick. Too sick to work.. Your farked! , Hence, lots of ppl here don't complete school because they need to work to feed their family or younger siblings.

Dog eat Dog world is good, because it's competition. However it doesn't help the people who can aspire to do something but isn't born with the silver spoon to do so.

    Agreed.

Wow our citizens pay for their own healthcare... so what? What was the point in bringing that up? How does that have anything to do with the Iraqi war? I could list things that are wrong with your country's government, but what would be the point in that?

    RE: Iraq War

The US has finally handed power over to the Iraqi government. Hopefully this means we can pull many of our soldiers out of there.

I don't think there will be anymore hostage beheading after the Korean incident. They're sending even more troops now because of the beheading.

Hmm. I don't know about whether there will still be beheading's or not. Because it's happened in Saudi Arabia. No idea what's going on in the heads of these terrorist.

And most unfortunate people who get beheaded are usually reporters. Not the usual bunch that travel with the army. Thats why their so vulnerable.

Well the death count is now over 1900 for US soldiers and probably 10 times more than that in civilian casualties.

    Iraq War

i heard some talk a long time ago about people saying that the fact that Iraq could have potentially become a threat was the reason they had to be attacked!!!

What kind of stupid nonsensical Crap is that? That is no reason to attack and take over another country. So the US can pretty much go an attack any freakin country and then justify their invasion with THAT. That just makes no sense whatsoever. You don't victimize POTENTIAL criminals, you victimize and punish THE criminals! And what do you expect, every other country should stop making arms to defend themselves because it makes the US feel uncomfortable. Who the heck are they to decide how everyone does things. Why don't they disarm themselves if they are of an opinion that countries should have no weapons of mass destruction.

I think its kind of obvious that the fact that they are the most powerful nation makes them believe that everything they can do is justified. History has many such examples and we choose use ugly words to sum up those kind of people. But since its the US, I am just supposed to say that they are protecting the world and its all for humanity's good, yeah RITE!

There will be plenty of that to come in the next wars. My friend told me his Sgt said there's 5 countries the US is planning on attacking in the near future.
