i would assume one of the major naruto groups would have it on their site/irc if it was done by them.

Assertn, if your roommate has the Naruto R2 DVD, just get him to make a compressed .iso of it with DVDShrink and distribute it to fansub groups.
The torrent on Tokyotosho disapeared and a comment on a conan eps says that it was a fake.
