I am. Good show.

Witch Watch 05
I like the adaptation, It's hitting all the points it should, and the stuff it's missing isn't critical.
sig made by Itachi-y2k5, thanks, dude!
Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.
You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.

Gorilla Girl 05
this is reaching a new level of stupid bullshit.
I know Japan has a weird issue with girls having a spine, but this borders on suicidal. I'm worried for her. I should probably be more worried for everybody else there, zero sense of urgency for the "terrorist set bombs at a ball dance that all the noble kids attend". but also the bullying part... zero self-awareness.
+1 for my prediction that prince is actually squirl, even though it makes no sense that people can do full-body transformations. and i'd also like to add a prediction that the other character is actually a girl, maybe she got a chameleon blessing.
Gorilla Girl 06
everybody in that army needs to be fired. this are NOBLE kids. you can't treat them like army fodder.
as usual, the important stuff happens out of sight, like learning about the anti-monarchy group and that they escaped. I don't expect it to be interesting, since it's all so paint-by-the-numbers, but it should happen on-screen.
starting a fire in a closed shed without checking the ventilation is how you get yourself killed.
the romance lasted more than I thought it would.

Vigilantes episode 6:
An entire episode basically spent on humanizing a rape-murder, culminating in having his past rape-target treating his wounds. Wow.

Not that I've seen that show... because I probably won't... but I want to discuss this anyway and give my 2 cents, even though it might be better listed in the "trope"-thread. I can already imagine what happened.
The problem with this is always how quick it happens, not the fact that it might or does happen.
If you want to show redemption, make it so that it becomes "real" and that the viewer might start to believe he/she deserves it.
These kind of things need to happen to what you'd consider "main characters", because otherwise there is simply not enough screentime for them to overcome their stigmata and it becomes "cheap" to witness it.
Whole (great) movies have been written and screened in which bad people or people in horrible situations process what they have done or what they are doing and start to regret it.
These topics are simply not meant for a weekly series that dedicate like 5 minutes of screentime to it. It'll just leave a bitter taste and feels "preachy" and wrong.
Example of a story that did such redemption great: The Walking Dead. Not going into detail for spoiler reason, but if you know, you know.

I think Krayz meant weekly anime that don't have a fuckton of episodes.
Peace.
Eh, actually Vegeta is total bs. Goku telling Kuririn to let Vegeta live was based on nothing. AFTERWARDS, turns out Freezer and his guys would have won without Vegeta's "help", but Goku didn't know that and Vegeta might have just returned stronger. And later Vegeta casually murdered hundreds of people to provoke Goku into a fight. It wasn't until Super where Vegeta was castrated enough to no longer be a ticking bomb for everyone in his vicinity. And really, can he be forgiven all the genocides he committed when he destroyed entire planets with civilizations on them together with Nappa and Radditz? "He did it in Freezer's command", yeah, but he clearly enjoyed it a lot.
"Ad Hitlerium" is often ill applied, but in this case it's true: Vegeta is worse than Hitler. Would you forgive Hitler?

You have to at least pretend that anyone can be redeemed. Even if you don't believe it.
Because if the bad guy doesn't believe redemption is possible, then there's no incentive to face turn. And that doesn't benefit anyone.
Whether they should have allowed it is a separate issue from whether or not he accomplished it.
